Gdynia Aquarium is a unique place in the city centre, taking every visitor into an extraordinary underwater world. Here you can see animals from remote regions such as Africa and North America, as well as species from the Atlantic and local Baltic waters.
Gdynia Aquarium is part of the National Marine Fisheries Research Institute, so education and research are at the heart of our aquarium.
One of Gdynia Aquarium’s largest and newest attractions is the “Cold Seas” exhibit, featuring animals from the cool waters of the Atlantic and Baltic. It is our newest exhibit, located below sea level. Visitors have a unique opportunity to discover the diversity of an environment not generally considered diverse. The dynamic, well-oxygenated and fully saline waters of the North Atlantic provide ideal conditions for many animal and plant species. Discover lumpsuckers, wolf eels, garfish and common eagle rays.
Visitors will certainly be amazed by the sharks, electric eels and Mugger crocodile, also found in the other exhibition halls. Gdynia Aquarium guests can discover the aquatic environments of South America, coral reefs and the local Baltic Sea.
